The Brewers Association recently put out an article regarding Brewery Safety - Read the article HERE
![]() Looks like we're getting some love from my hometown publication, The Lehigh Valley Business Journal, regarding my niche in the craft brewery insurance space. Author Stacy Wescoe called me two weeks ago and led off the conversation with "Is this Kyle Rheiner, the Brewery Insurance Guy?" to which I replied "Well, yes, yes it is." That kicked off a great conversation and the result of that is in the link below. Stacy and I discussed the rise of craft breweries and distilleries in the Lehigh Valley and the specific insurance coverages that are important to those businesses - Liquor Liability, Spoilage, Equipment Breakdown, Surety Bonds, among others, as well as the lack of insurance carriers out there providing these types coverages. The link is below for you to read the full article, but my favorite part is how Stacy Wescoe ended the article: Rheiner said he loves his job and that it can be an adventure. He recalled calling a potential client to set up an appointment to review a new policy. The brewer said, ‘I don’t want my insurance agent showing up in a suit.’ Kyle said, ‘Fine, I won’t shave, either.’ "I’m not your typical insurance guy,” Rheiner said. http://www.lvb.com/article/20150511/LVB01/305089999/agents-tap-new-niche-insuring-local-microbrewers |
